Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as account details, support messages, newsletter signups, bedtime routine settings, reminder preferences, and routine progress you save in Unwindy.

We may collect app diagnostics, device information, usage events, crash reports, subscription status, and purchase status needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. The iOS app does not use App Tracking Transparency or third-party advertising attribution.

Unwindy can optionally write a user-confirmed in-bed interval to Apple Health after you tap Lights Out. It does not request or read Health data, and it does not send Health timestamps to our servers, analytics, or advertising providers.

When website analytics is enabled, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) receives consent-gated page and campaign interaction events. The website does not load GA4 or set analytics cookies before you allow analytics, and it does not create a direct cross-device user identity join with the app.

Payment and subscription transactions are processed by Apple, Google, or another payment provider. We receive limited transaction records, not full payment card details.

How we use information

We use information to provide the app, sync your routine, send requested reminders, show active routine progress, respond to support requests, maintain security, improve product quality, and send marketing only when permitted.

We do not sell personal information. We use first-party product analytics to understand app and website performance; the iOS app does not track you across apps or websites for advertising measurement.

Sharing

We share information with service providers that help us host, analyze, support, and deliver subscriptions, including Firebase/Google, Apple, RevenueCat, and Superwall. They may process information only as needed to provide their service or as otherwise described in their privacy terms.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or during a merger, acquisition, or similar business transfer.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You can delete an account and local app data from Settings > Delete account and data, or request help at /data-deletion. Deletion does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage that separately in Apple subscription settings. We may retain limited records where required for security, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, or legal reasons.

Children

Unwindy is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. You can control mobile permissions such as notifications and Apple Health in your device settings. Unwindy does not request access to your photos or location.
